Stonyhurst has benefited from legacies since its very earliest days and each year, legacies to Stonyhurst contribute a significant amount to our highest priorities, ensuring that what our donors were privileged to experience has been kept live and passed on.
Legacy gifts can be consigned to specific areas, including bursaries, the Collections and Archives or somewhere most meaningful to you.
If you are considering leaving a gift to Stonyhurst in your will, our Head of Development [email@example.com] would be pleased to speak with you about your intentions, although we are unable to offer legal or financial advice. You can discover more about legacy giving to Stonyhurst in our brochure below:
We are also able to offer assistance on a codicil as a simple way of amending your existing Will.
The Thomas Weld Society
I was delighted to be appointed as the President of The Thomas Weld Society in 2020. Membership of the society is offered to those who have generously made a legacy gift to Stonyhurst, thus keeping up the connection with our first benefactor, Thomas Weld in 1794.
Leaving a legacy to Stonyhurst and membership of The Thomas Weld Society is an opportunity to provide massive and unqualified moral support to our magnificent schools. Through this support, we are getting close as is practical to the Jesuit charism on which we base all that we do. Weld members can ensure the future is as glorious and illustrious as our past. I look forward to welcoming you to our annual service of thanks, followed by lunch in October.
